functional right away. did what i needed it to do in order to mirror it on my computer since the cellphone screen was broken and non responsive.
this is the worst hub I've ever used. right outta the box, it wasn't functional; you have to choose between functions ie you can use it to charge a device OR use it as a card reader OR use one USB port which oddly enough will charge a device attached to it while not charging the device the hub cord is plugged into. do yourself a favor and get one of these from a fly-by-night Chinese company on Amazon, they're far more functional than this overpriced paperweight
