I bought this when our old Cuisinart coffee maker failed. We had it for many years, pretty happy with the unit, looked around for another Cuisinart machine. This unit is a much better designed unit, everything seems much more robust. For one you can pour coffee without rotating the top. (1/4 turn to open for removal.) It pours without dripping something that the old unit never seemed to do. The coffee is much hotter when brewed and stays hot longer. The pot is heavier, wife complains but that is not a problem for me. Very happy with the unit.

It can handle both normal, hot brewed coffee in addition to a handy, over-ice feature. This will definitely save my family and I many, many trips to the coffee shop over the upcoming years. Since this is a Cuisinart, I know the materials and build quality are going to be superior to many other options. I have several Cuisinart products in my kitchen and have had them for years. The coffeemaker also comes with easy, intuitive programming controls and a built-in coffee scoop to help you track less things while getting your morning cup ready. Fast brewing times and the 12-cup reservoir allows you to brew several cups before having to refill the caraf. My family and I are very impressed with this!
