Very happy with the Philips OneBlade Pro so far. Its really easy to use and no risk of cutting myself. It also doesn't irritate my skin like some products do. It's great that it can be used wet or dry. The LED digital display is clear and large enough to read properly. When using the comb on the lowest setting it gives me a really close shave but not too close to cause skin irritation. It's quick and easy to use and doesn't miss hairs or leave patches, just leaves me with a nice even stubble. The battery lasts a very long time between charges as it has 120 minutes run time. It charges quickly and the speed whilst using is just right There are 14 different cutting lengths, so I can choose to wear my beard short or long, I just choose the right length by the desired number. The interchangeable blades for face and body are very useful. It can give your body an all over neat trim. I get the best results with the blade flat on my skin, then using light, long strokes shaving against the grain.
I got this as I fluctuate between clean shaven and full beard depending what mood I'm in at the time! When I received this I had full beard and it was brilliant, you can use the attachment for whatever length you need and it really does neaten everything up! Once I decided I was gonna get rid of the beard I used this without the attachment which did give a short shave but not quite as close a shave as using a razor but I was happy with this as don't mind the stubble look. Basically this is a really good all rounder and for the price they're selling for it won't break the bank. Battery life also seems good, I've not had to worry about that yet.
This oneblade pro is the best oneblade they make. It’s has a digital percentage of the battery life so you know when it’s going to run out of juice. The charging stand is a really nice feature
The Philips OneBlade Pro Face is a ‘one-stop-shop for all facial hair types and I was lucky enough to try one out before they hit the shops. This is unlike any beard trimmer I have used before, thanks to the wide variety of lengths it allows me to trim with. The product arrived nicely packaged with this awesome lime green accent colour - something you don’t see very often with tech products; brave move Philips, I like it! - 95% of the packaging was paper or cardboard, bar a tiny bit of hygienic plastic to keep the blade safe, meaning every last bit went into my recycling - plus 10 points for thinking of the environment. The unboxing experience was decent, nothing too ‘wow’ but it kept that ‘premium product’ feeling throughout. My trimmer needed a charge straight out of the box, so don’t expect to use this immediately (your experience may vary), although it does charge rather quickly (just under an hour for a full charge) and the battery lasts for a solid 90 minutes when full which is amazing considering its size and power. Product features Here are a few key product details: Rechargeable Lithium-ion battery (full charge within 1 hour - lasts for 90 minutes) 3 LED Battery indicator 12 length adjustable comb (0.5mm - 9mm) Contour Following technology Wet and Dry use Ergonomic Handle Double-edged blade Benefits So, Philips mention the features above and to their credit, the OneBlade Pro Face truly delivers. The battery does last and can charge super quick (my experience was just under an hour for a full charge from completely flat), the LED battery indicator is large and easily readable, The blade follows the contours of your face easily giving an even trim, the handle feels great in the hand and would work for either right or left-handed people, The double-edged blade seemed a bit overkill for me at first, until I was trying to neaten an edge at the top and I was able to use the lower part of the blade without moving the trimmer around in strange angles, so that really helped! The comb was an obvious win for me. I like to keep some beard and not be baby smooth; having that fine control over the length was amazing. I trimmed my beard over the bathroom sink (to my wife's dismay) and was cleaning the head as I went. The OneBlade powered through and delivered on the ‘wet/dry cut’ promise. It was super easy to clean afterwards, with the confidence that it’s designed to be used with water. One other little feature that doesn’t appear to be mentioned anywhere, is the little cap that comes in the box. I imagine this is to help you keep it safe when travelling. This is a great little addition and will help with the longevity of the blades, even when I’m not travelling; things get knocked in bathrooms and I imagine those little blades won’t take too much punishment before breaking, so having this little protective case is peace of mind for me. Pros & Cons I will list out the pros and cons of the Philips OneBlade Pro Face. Pros Lightweight Fast Powerful The battery lasts and quick to charge Looks great Adjustable comb Protective case for the head. Cons Mine came with a European plug, so needed an adapter to use in a 3 pin UK plug socket. Conclusion To summarise, I am very happy with the quality of the product, the cut and control I get when using it are exactly what I want and the power of that little blade blows my mind every time I use it! Would I recommend this to people that like to style their facial hair? Yes, absolutely! I don’t think it matters if you like 5 o’clock shadow, a goatee or even just a well maintained full beard, this ticks all the boxes.
