My family has allergies, worst is to the cat we inherited to whom 3 of the 4 of us are allergic. (1 of those who is only a year old.) As part of dealing with this allergy we run our air purifier probably 12-18 hours a day, everyday. Not only does it help clean the air so we can share space with the cat but it's pretty quiet, requires no replacement filters and helps keep the air flowing and circulating. We do use this in a room larger than recommended (dining, living with air also flowing from the hall) and it does a great job. It does need cleaning and the little light will let you know, it's easy to clean and once you're done you just set it back up again. This thing is also durable, it's at least 5 years old and has been tackled/knocked over by our kids more times than we'd like. This is a great investment if you have an issue where an air purifier is needed, I've noticed that the price has also gone down. Now I'm honestly tempted to get another but ours still works wonderfully.

I am so happy to have found this purifier. I live in an apartment and lately there has been funky, rotting odors coming from behind my dishwasher and under my kitchen sink. From the moment I plugged it in the odors were lessening, but in addition to that the air was crisp. Like other reviewers I did notice the plastic smell, but that was pleasant compared to the others. And it took about 2 days for that to go away. I have to mention I run this pretty much 24/7 and no problems. But just in case I did purchase the product protection plan also. Also I love that I won't have to buy filters and definite cost saver.

The early spring has the trees doing their best to incapacitate me with their pollen. The air purifier is quiet and effective for my bedroom. No problems sleeping with the purifier on low. Best price I could find and easy pickup at the neighborhood store the next day.

Upgraded to this model yesterday (after retiring a similar Honeywell air purifier purchased 7 years ago, which I used a lot). Really like this newer model. It's quieter and more sturdy than older model. No assembly... just remove from box and plug in. Air smells fresh (smokers downstairs and dust due to busy street). Like the oscillating feature... blows cool-ish air, keeping my non-air conditioned room comfy. I appreciated the other Reviews, they helped me decide on this purchase. Paid on-line with PayPal option and received discount for Target store pick-up.

I bought two. The first thing I noticed was the fresh smell in the rooms where they are running. Very quiet when run on low. Happy with it so far!
