As far as espresso machines go, this is completely automatic without going overboard. It does everything i need at the push of a button. It is also great at cleaning the mechanics after each use, and telling me when i need to intervene and add water, or empty the pod receptacle. It's not too much tech. Love this machine!
I have had my machine now for 2 months and I love it! It was easy to play around with the settings to get the brew perfect for me. I drink a latte every day and especially like the crema system!
I have a Magnifica Espresso and Cappuccino maker. My husband and I bought it in Germany and its 220. Because we know it will be expensive to buy in the States we brought it with us and we are still using it daily as my husband and i enjoy this machine. We have a transformer to plug it in. Because DeLonghi espresso and Cappuccino maker is great. We are looking forward to upgrading with the frother and hot water as we use to serve it for our get together with friends and families.

The Magnifica Start Espresso Machine with LatteCrema System does a nice job making any of the espresso/coffees it is designed to make. This is our first "do it all" type machine. Prior to this we had a drip coffee maker and a simple espresso machine with steam wand. We especially like how simple this machine is to operate, just one or two pushes of a button and the whole process grinding the coffee, heating the milk and making the espresso hot drink happens. We are very pleased with the performance of the machine especially at the price point. We would highly recommend this machine.
