I sized up as recommended, but I could've gone a size down. I usually get a 16 for comfortable fit, but I sized up to 22. I should've sized up to 20. I think two sizes up is the perfect fit, but I'm 4/5 stars because I LOVE this skirt, but you shouldn't have to do a guessing game when buying clothes from a usually consistent retailer (Target) and brand (Champion).
I thought it was just me until I saw other reviews very cute skirt but not true to size check size chart. I thought I grew three sizes putting this on.

sizing is completely off. it's a cute skirt, but need to try on in store before buying. may be about 3 sizes small
